I’m getting really tired of people trying to play lawyer on here. Just stop it. This is embarrassing. You don’t know how much any of those people got and you don’t know how to evaluate the value of a case. First off - she got fired so any conversation she has would start off with factoring in her salary and calculating lost and future wages. Second, she would also claim emotional damages and would factor in a settlement number in line with precedent. This is no less than a 250k settlement, adding in attorney fees and try to bump it to account for that - this is a case that could settlement anywhere from 250k to 500k depending on what her salary was and if there were any mitigating factors.ok, not see a dime is too much, but millions, was she promised millions? you only get millions if you were promised millions.
in the fox case, they created a hostile environment, skip wanted to f her, she said no, skip went about his business, got fired himself, that's not a hostile environment
"joy taylor wasn't nice to me, can i get millions", that doesn't work, did any of the ppl Lizzo harass get millions?
here are the settlement talks:
Fox: here's $4000
Her: that aint enough
Fox: OK.
talks continue
All that while you still work there shyt isn’t how shyt works my guy. As a senior level person, anything Skip does is imputed to the entire company. Wrongful termination, racial and gender discrimination and sexual harassment/hostile work environment. Most of these cases are brought when you’re no longer working there and the person being fired is often evidence of and an admission of wrongdoing. The question becomes how did you respond when you became aware of it. If the response was to protect him and fire her (which did happen because he was terminated for unrelated reasons) then that doesn’t help you.
