Proposed gas tax and lack of affordable housing on top of various austerity policies that have bled the working class of services.

Our government with E.Macron at his head is trying to reform our system by making, us, citizen loose our social rights. I know we are kind of a special country but people here don't get in the streets just to break and loot stores. Most of the people out in the street for riots are people from the middle class. Fathers, mothers, young men and womens but also elderly people. Everyone is concerned about the yellow vest here because they represent ( i'm not talking about the medias representation of those) the will of the middle class :

- More taxes for the big companys taking benefits in France and not contributing to the system.

- More laws against financial evasion and less against the middle class. ( it is again very special here, the minimum wage is depreciating due to economic and inflation rates crisis)

The media will only talk about the people looting and the extremist in this riot, but i can tell you it's more than that.

People just want to live their lives. Young people see how the new governement is breaking our basic rights like education and health. Elderly people are living in retirement homes are misstreated, everybody is getting dumped so everybody is treating this riot as expression of their fear for their future. It's not the first time we walk this path in history and in my opinion some countries should follow it too.
