CDs now have that stigma to me, don't hand no nikka no mixtape. That aint gonna work no more, and you can't rely on live mix tapes to do what you can do yourself and make money
If you were on your grind, people would not go to live mix tapes looking for your music, they would go to where they can buy it. Live mix tapes is not making anybody hot, it is simply allowing lazy nikkas to put they music next to a hot nikkas music in a place where people are coming to get the hot nikkas music. But nikkas are only there to hear the hot nikkas music.
In my personal management of an artist. I would stay away from live mix tapes until we had a local following. I would focus on quality songs, and getting a local buzz. It always works. If the hometown fukk with you, you will go national.
