This cat is mediocre, and only got famous after he got controversial.

The mainstream ain't checking for him.

He hasn't released enough shyt to be considered heavy in the game.


So, I think the only reason why people ride this wave ....is because he sucks dikk and has shyt stains on the front of his underwear, and broadcasts it.

You are missing something everyone who really knows music is getting, I refuse to believe that it's the opposite.
And no the mainstream is not checking for him, he doesn't make musics for birdbrains, neither does D'Angelo. Let's just say that they are not aiming for August Alsinas fanbase when they drop.

He still maintains a large enough fan base to sell 600k on his first album without a radio single (except a 8 minute song).

He has two well respected projects in 5 years and a handfull of 5/5 features and written songs, now he'll have 3 in 6, that's one every 24 months, R&B fans are not like 13 year old hiphop fans they are not expecting a new mixtape twice a year. Ask Maxwell and D'Angelos fans.

Btw his two biggest songs were released before that little gay story, his only two songs to chart on hot100. The way I see it, is that the only thing it changed was him getting more haters who really don't know anything or care about that type of music, but their personal feelings for celebrities force them to.

If he was a nobody, no one would have cared that he came out in the first place. The Nostalgia, ULTRA mixtape was huge. The guy had 2 features on Watch the Throne, an entire year before coming out.

Even Adele waiting on the new Frank, wondering wtf he's at. Doesn't get more mainstream than that.

The majority of his catalogue is about emotions we all face while pursuing romantic endeavors. If you can't respect that and it still bothers you that he has straight fans; you're probably bothered by a lot of gay shyt to the point of thinking about homosexuals day and night.

And I'd like to say Pyramids is a classic. I put it up there with any great song. If you don't agree I'll fight you harder than a lot of Frank haters fight their sexuality.
