most of blonde is super commercial.
futura free, seigfried and maybe like one or two more are experimental. but the rest is just really well done R&B and could be singles.

Channel Orange is more experimental
I agree with you sort of, but channel orange was way more commercial. With songs like "thinking about you" "super rich kids" and "lost" had a nice balance of very commercial and radio friendly R&B/pop songs (which he actually shot videos for) and then there were more experimental songs like Pyramids, Pilot Jones and Sierra Leone . It had two extremes so it appealed to everyone. It was just well made and straight to the point. Really a classic album where all the songs anyone can understand easily and relate to.
I still listen to channel orange over Blonde. Blondes replay value isn't great although musically and creatively its probably Franks best work. But the lyrics and topics hes singing about are too vague, the delivery is real experimental and the album doesnt flow. Theres also no real genre in Blonde. Before frank was clearly R&B/hiphop.
On another note endless has some songs better than anything on Blonde to me.
For Blonde I think frank tried too hard to please fans or live up to the channel orange hype. He tried making a new sound and do something ground breaking. So he went LEFT and tried a more indie folk/soul/gospel sound with a mix of the wierd stuff frank does vocally and with his adlibs.
Dont get me wrong Blonde is pretty unique. Maybe its ahead of its time and i don't think itll be appreciated to much later.... after Frank proves himself more as an artist.
