Dude went too gay on this latest song, I mean to each his own and I saw it coming when he wrote songs like good guy and what not. At the end of the day he got to make music for him and his people but its just I cant really enjoy or bump this shyt, its a no from me dawg.

Blonded 007 was the last episode so this was his closing song. It doesn't really sound that gay other than saying his boyfriend's name. He wanted to make it a special dedication.

Nah bro, he refrencing "him" and things of that nature. Saying is you a natural blonde like goku over some kind of adult contemprary looped instrumental. To me its not that good and its too homo but many of his fans will eat it up so thats all that matters. I cant bump this personally though.

It's better than most of blond. Seems like Frank is finding his sound. This song, Lens and Chanel have that same replay quality a lot of the songs on blonde didn't have. Its just a different more commercial/r&b hip hop sound. Blonde was good but real experimental and weird.

Franks lyrics still got me like :patrice: I don't know what hes talking about half the time and probably don't wanna know :hubie:

most of blonde is super commercial.

futura free, seigfried and maybe like one or two more are experimental. but the rest is just really well done R&B and could be singles.

I agree with you sort of, but channel orange was way more commercial. With songs like "thinking about you" "super rich kids" and "lost" had a nice balance of very commercial and radio friendly R&B/pop songs (which he actually shot videos for) and then there were more experimental songs like Pyramids, Pilot Jones and Sierra Leone . It had two extremes so it appealed to everyone. It was just well made and straight to the point. Really a classic album where all the songs anyone can understand easily and relate to.

I still listen to channel orange over Blonde. Blondes replay value isn't great although musically and creatively its probably Franks best work. But the lyrics and topics hes singing about are too vague, the delivery is real experimental and the album doesnt flow. Theres also no real genre in Blonde. Before frank was clearly R&B/hiphop.

On another note endless has some songs better than anything on Blonde to me.

For Blonde I think frank tried too hard to please fans or live up to the channel orange hype. He tried making a new sound and do something ground breaking. So he went LEFT and tried a more indie folk/soul/gospel sound with a mix of the wierd stuff frank does vocally and with his adlibs.

Dont get me wrong Blonde is pretty unique. Maybe its ahead of its time and i don't think itll be appreciated to much later.... after Frank proves himself more as an artist.

wish they'd re-release Endless properly finished mixed & mastered. Frank leaking that Young Thug version of 'Slide On Me' shows he still tinkering with it, & I'm sure DefJam wouldnt mind actually being able to capitalize on it finally.

cant believe that he squandered that amazing ass beat at the end of Higgs. that should be some 'Pyramids' status shyt.

Yea my theory on endless is Frank had a lot of music he was sitting on but he's probably a perfectionist so he was still working on songs until he was forced to release them basically as throwaways on an album to get out of his contract right before releasing blonde on a new deal independently.

Definitely some tracks with major potential on Endless that went unfinished but it is what it is....
