I remember when my pops told me he found out Elton John was gay. He said he was cool, but How could he listen to a man singing about another man. I feel the same way.

What does his talent have to do with his sexual orientation? :what:

My ladyette its quite simple...... he ain't singing about you or your other feminine peers ..... well unless he's bi.....and then how would the listener know which sex he's singing to, unless he is explicit with his pronoun usage :heh: .............................................................. :birdman:

To everybody saying its uncomfortable to listen to because he sings about a man....have y'all actually heard Channel Orange? The only joints you could say are blatantly about a dude are Forrest Gump and Bad Religion. He even got an ode to p*ssy on the album.."Pink Matter" anyone? Sierra Leone is about p*ssy being so :noah:he dont wanna pull out...every song on there other than the 2 I mentioned are about women and even those songs jam...whatever. Franks dope.

In a way I wish he never came out because I hate how people use that to discredit what he does musically. Its not like he being graphic or vulgar about shyt either. I could understand not fukking with that. But just sayin, oh this nikka gay and i cant listen to his shyt...thats bullshyt

Well first off, he's not gay he's bisexual, and most of his songs happen to be about women, except maybe like Forrest Gump and Bad Religion, Thinking About You is only about a man because he wrote it and recorded it as a reference track to this female artist whose name I cant remember. And even if all his songs are directly written about a man, none of you nikkas shoot at people, nor are you super rich ballin and half you nikkas havent had a hard day in life, so why can you separate yourself from the art there and not here? is it because that's a lifestyle you find appealing or what?

Secondly, as long as they music is good, there's no reason for you to care about the mans sexual orientation, I mean, it doesn't directly affect you and if you think its gonna make you gay, you're probably gay. No ones gonna find out you listen to Frank and clown you and odds are no ones gonna care that you listen to Frank Ocean.

Like you can't "unlike" something man, you liked the songs before you found out what he was and now suddenly you cant listen to it? thats not being true to yourselves brehs

because a racist cac who realizes a song he/she likes was made a by a black person isn't going to feel the same kind of disgust that a man who likes a love song will feel when they realize the artist was a gay man writing about his feeling for another male. the dynamic is entirely different.

frank ocean has admitted to being gay. i'm not listening to his music. and that's not to say he isn't an exceptionally talented artist. that's not the point. he's writing from a perspective i have no interest in listening to. :yeshrug:

1. He admitted to having a gay feeling at one point in time, he also loves women most of the time.
2. A black artist taking about making love to a black girl (or white for that matter), hanging with his black friends, raising his black kids, loving his black family and on might cause even a worse 'disgust' to this racist.. How would you know?

3. I'm not gonna front, it's pretty odd listening to Forrest Gump, event though I fully support gay rights and all that. For the fact that I imagine myself working situations while listening to shyt like love songs, pause. For that reason i can't listen to that joint and hopefully he'll never do that shyt again specially not to a fantastic joint.
