Maybe more like Cody Chestnutt comparison. Listen to Headphone masterpiece its similar experimental type of r&b soul. D'angelo's on a whole different level vocally, musically, talent wise and soul than Frank.

Frank Ocean is a far better artist than Cody Chestnutt. And other than his falsetto, Frank's voice is on par with D.

I agree with everything else you're saying though, but that goes without saying imo since D'angelo makes soul/neo-soul music and Frank Ocean makes R&B records

no Frank Ocean isn't a better artist than Cody Chestnutt. But thats my personal preference. They're both good artists. I'd say Cody is a more accurate comparison than D'Angelo to Frank, right now. D'Angelo is on another level.

Compared to Frank Ocean, Cody's has a much better voice naturally. And he's a better musician (does frank actually play any instruments?) They're both good song writers. The problem is Cody doesn't try....probably why he's irrelevant now. Frank has more mainstream appeal But Headphone Masterpiece album (minus its weird throwaway songs) is on par with anything Frank has done.... For example:

So #1 I'm not a man, #2 I'm one of D'angelo's biggest fans so I have no reason to lie: Frank is on par vocally (vocally is not the same as musically btw) with D'angelo sans falsetto and #3 where are the parts where you hear Frank struggling?
