Highly overrated tape. I just listened to it again a month or two again. I still bump a few songs off there and the good songs on there are really good. I still like the weeknd more and kaleidoscope dream bumps so hard.

Hate? If you didn't make this thread I'd have never made that post. nikka no one cares about Franklin Ocean and his struggle singing and lyrics. R&B was legendary up into the early 2000's.There's tons of great R&B out now but you new nikkas would rather have R&B that sounds like it was made by a rapper rather than a legit singer.

What's overrated about Channel Orange? It's a good album; hits on various issues in a melodic way, isn't repetitive, translates well into live instruments, captured the zeitgeist (a la House of Balloons), requires multiple listens, isn't propped up by features, has aged well...Idk maybe it's just a commonly held opinion on here but I don't get this talk of overrated.
