dude is a better meth/busta type lyricist from the same mold. Can ride any beat, and hes lyrical on songs when he wants to be (the anthem, BFK, the ghetto, even take a story like Harolds...) There is a lot of rappers in the past 15 years that have a career that havent been nearly lyrical as those songs

I gotta call you out on this Meth and Busta comparison though,I get what you saying about riding beats,but Meth and Busta are two of the best all time at not just riding beats....But being able to morph they delivery to damn near become part of the beat....You cant invoke they names when talking about Freddie Gibbs,who to me a lot of times gets drowned out by the beat.

He kindve reminds me of a poor mans Bun B except Bun B has more ability to do what I just mentioned that Meth and Busta could do...Freddies delivery is pretty weak,but some things just come natural that some emcees are born with,just natural charisma...I always said Freddie would be better off if he found himself a Pimp C type counterpart....might bring something out of him in the booth,or at least make up for what he's lacking....That's why I actually liked Jeezy and him on collabs,Jeezy was effectively his Pimp C.

Mid 30s year old bloggers love dudes like him and Roc Marciano because they harken back to an earlier era of rap. I def don't think gibbs lives up to all the hype but he does have some good songs hear and there. I just can't take a gangsta rapper who looks like Don Cheadle seriously.
