:what:

Madlib is one of the few cats holding it down since the homie Dilla has been gone

j dilla didnt always make muffled sounding bullsh!t, madlib needs to stop with the dated sh!t. you probably think dj premier beats are still hot too

From the three EPs, we have six songs. They are Deep, Thuggin, Shame, Terrorist, Deeper and Harold's. Are these six going to be on the album as well? If so, how many songs is the album supposed to be? Especially with all these features.

Piñata is scheduled for February 4, 2014 on Madlib Invazion. The album will feature Raekwon, Scarface, Danny Brown, Earl Sweatshirt, Domo Genesis, Joey Bada$$, Ab Soul, BJ The Chicago Kid, Meech of Flatbush Zombies, Casey Veggies, Mac Miller, Polyester the Saint, G-Wiz.

it doesn't sound dusty it just sounds like shyt. this ep would be much better with high quality beats

I know what you mean. i personally like them but when i heard them I felt they was mastered a little weird. Like the bit rate was low, rather than lo-fi. Rza was lo-fi but still sounded hi quality. The other two eps didn't sound like this but still had a dusty feel.

Norfeast groovin…
A lot of yall too pressed for that super clean sound. shyt's fluke, one of my favorite things about 90s era shyt is how grainy it sounds. It makes shyt sound so much more raw, like nikkaz was in some hood ass basement chiefin blunts when the shyt was recorded not some posh, bougie ass downtown studio that's more familiar with that pop shyt.

Gibbs is doing the best Hip Hop work in years. It's like, as much as I fukked with Krit he got boring to me after awhile cuz he was tryna seem more normal while Gibbs is fully embracing the gangsta rap lane even though just about everyone is shying away from that.

Dilla is the goat, there isn't a style he didnt have mastered. He could flip between muffled/clean with no problem.

But in regards to that 'dated' shyt, the beats Madlib has given to Giibbs so far have fit his style nicely, and it makes for a nice listen

I didn't mention primo at all :beli: and yes every once in a while primo drops a banger
