This just shows how dope it is when an artist like Gibbs steps out and does somthing different.
This makes me appreciate his talent a lot more then the shyt he did wit CTE.
Haven't felt his shyt like this since his early mix tapes.

Yeah, every artist ain't meant to blow.

Following Thuggin and Shame this is the final 12-inch vinyl EP before Freddie Gibbs & Madlib release their collaborative album, Piñata.
On the Deeper EP, Gibbs showcases the yin and yang of heartbreak and anger on the title track, in a lovelorn narrative that meshes perfectly with the weepy strings and insistent rhythm of Madlib’s beat. We haven’t heard something like this in rap music since Nas’ “One Love,” nearly twenty years ago. The b-side, “Harolds” – exclusive to this EP – gives Gibbs a chance to ride some low down Beat Konducta-fueled funk in a nostalgic ode to the Chicago chicken-shack that served as the backdrop to many of his seminal life experiences.
Piñata is scheduled for February 4, 2014 on Madlib Invazion. The album will feature Raekwon, Scarface, Danny Brown, Earl Sweatshirt, Domo Genesis, Joey Bada$$, Ab Soul, BJ The Chicago Kid, Meech of Flatbush Zombies, Casey Veggies, Mac Miller, Polyester the Saint, G-Wiz.

That Harold's track is great. Thuggin is what got me into him and its still one of the best tracks I've heard in years. The beat on Shame still gives me the vapors after all this time. Been waiting on madgibbs/piñata for going on two years. Can't wait much longer.
