That is intersectional bullshiit wordsmithing.

I'm not a fan of that phrase.

The interview is fine, what happened to Freddie Gibbs in Europe is fuucked up, and I can see he is still in shock and depressed.

However, I'm specifically referring to using "safe space", which to me is a connotation for weakness. Any other term/word I would prefer. Just say a "sanctuary" or "refuge" or "sanctum", I found great synonyms for "sanctuary" on the new Thesaurus.com!

I hate to see black folks adopting this intersectional term. :scust:

Don’t mind those clucks nor their soiled little panties.

Black folks who adopt ANY of this bullshyt PC rhetoric are instantly looked at as weak gullible and, because they’re so weak minded and gullible, SUSPECT...and that includes the use of terms like “safe space”, “homophobia”, “(whatever) shaming”, etc

Slight clarification:

The term is being used in it's correct context here as it relates to therapy, the idea has existed in group therapy sessions for decades, Kurt Lewin a behavioral psychologist coined the term when developing leadership courses at the corporate level.

A Safe space refers to a confidential environment where employees or employers can converse with one another and deliver feedback in group settings free of criticism and judgement, whether the criticism is positive or negative.

This could be to challenge a colleagues productivity or could be used by an employee to challenge their manager, address their treatment of staff, maybe your manager is too lenient or is too heavy handed etc, the way they are often implemented leave a lot to be desired though as anyone who works in corporate settings will tell you, sometimes they can make the workplace more tense as somebody nearly always has an axe to grind that nobody knew of prior :snoop:

You have Lewin to thank for sensitivity training, however what passes for ST nowadays is a far cry from what was originally envisioned, and unfortunately the feminist camp and the LGBT community picked up the term the term in a similar fashion to the above and then you had campuses jumping on it backed by neo-feminists and completely distorted the term and notion further.

Now you have exactly 0 safe spaces and everyone is shook to interact with one another just in case they say the wrong thing

Sidenote:

Everyone has a safe space whether a mental one or an actual physical location.

No problems thing is these new wave idiots hijack terms and distort them beyond all recognition, the fact I've conducted many feedback sessions on the above just makes me cringe further when I hear it misappropriated, now everyone's impression of the term is negative when the joke is the idea is supposed to a positive one and when implemented correctly can be a helpful means of communication.

Some of those sessions let me tell you, when some folks know that they are free to get certain shyt off their chest it's an incredible sight, I've seen some of the most polite doses of ether delivered by some of the most rowdy people and on the other end of the spectrum, the most passive people get to barking :whew:
