Lies. This is revisionist history. No one was checking or talking about Kendrick as a relevant artist before Like That. The Morale stench was on him and people were cool waiting for his next album.
People will say stuff like this but I swear to god I haven’t heard anybody talk about the offseason since it dropped

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..

Gibbs done a lot of fukk shyt over the last 4 years which could be deadly against a competent opponent in a beef and yet...I still think he'd smoke Cole. Can't convince me Cole got the heart for a battle after last year. Only body on his resume is Diggy Simmons.

Cole can literally do that same shyt Gibbs did in that video. lol. wtf are we even saying here? Lol. And Gibbs had one of my fav albums last year.

We all know Cole can rap. Doesn't prevent me from feeling like he'd get smoked. If the lyrical miracle rate is equal, as it would be in this case, it would come down to actual battle raps/humor/insults/etc. He clearly don't have the heart for that. That's all I'm saying.

Gibbs the same guy who encourages his white fanbase to post random pictures of skinny bald headed black men on twitter and tag him in on some “it’s Freddie Gibbs”

Cole more versatile then Gibbs and he’s actually proud to be black.

I would agree with this but then there is that 1st verse on False Prophets that till this day causes Ye fans to get in their feelings.

I still don’t get how people expect Cole to make a full fledged diss track to Kendrick after “muthafukk the big 3, nikka it’s just big me”.

This is really an equal battle to me, so it could go either way. It's definitely a much more interesting matchup than Cole vs Kendrick, where Cole maybe had a 5% chance. Cole actually has a chance vs Freddie. And much more ammo to use. But I consider them both the same level. Not elite level writers, but still top tier.

Walk it off >>>>> 7 minute apology or whatever that bullshyt was lol

The only thing Cole could bring up is him getting jumped ect and he ain't gonna push that line. Which means he's limited to trying to do what he tried with Kendrick (discrediting his body of work) and that ain't gonna cut it either.

Funny shyt is, anybody who Cole tries to come at is going to leverage him bending the knee to Dot and then he has to tippy toe around that elephant in the room lest Kendrick take off on him too. He should just stfu and take it on the chin like he said.

False Prophets is certainly a diss on one level but it's also a general "damn nikka what happened to you" moment we all felt. That's not really something you can whip out against anyone but Kanye, who has fallen off (creatively, morally, mentally, etc) more than any major rapper has. That was more of a one-off that can't be effective against anyone else. Didn't stop him from kind of trying it on Kendrick and we all know how that ended, of course.

He needs to stay in his lane, which is technical raps and concepts. And if I was a noteworthy rapper I'd be taking shots at him, no question. Joey and Gibbs won't be the last to do it.

Something flagrant is gonna happen and Cole is gonna wish he didn’t take these off ramps...
