@Brooklynzson sticky this for the culture :Pacc2:
It's funny man. I agree that for hip-hop, I feel like something should be like 10 tracks to be an album, and even then, there are famous hip-hop EPs with 9-10 tracks.not listened yet but.... 8 tracks ???? this is an EP surely ! back in the day albums used to be 15-20 tracks deep ! i could co-sign 10 if it was all quality but 8 seems does not seem like an album to me... fair enough if there is hidden tracks but cmon son dont be lazy !![]()
the thing is this is true to hip hop, for the most part, as all the rapper needs to do is write a couple of verses to a beat rather than produce , compose or play a full song... even though we do have classics such as illmatic which are about 10 tracks deep i think in this day and age 8 songs should not be called an album ... even more so as these days verses are mailed in and the beat is applied lastIt's funny man. Other genres aren't always like that. Which is kinda weird to me because I'm so used to hip hop. Other genres will have like 2-4 song EPs, and 9-13 track albums.
I remember when 50 dropped The Massacre and it was 22 tracks.
not even on no hater shyt...but when i listen to this it validates in my mind that I'm not crazy saying something like More Life is trash. Great listen. Wouldve loved another 3,4 songs but I aint trippinThis is the dope I expected from Gibbs
