Crazy. The 60s, 70s and the 80s babies were dying young because they were killing each other. Now the 90s and 2000 babies are dying young from killing themselves. These youngins are turning their demons inward and they are shorting their lifespans.

Hate to say this but you know shyt is fukked up when folks aren't even surprised where they expect to hear this.

sorry to break it to yall but the more complex society becomes and the faster things start to move as far as technology and whatnot...mental health is gonna become nonexistant.....society is gonna implode on itself in the next 20 years.
That is my biggest fear breh..everything moves so fast these days ..tragic shyt like this will be forgotten in about 2 weeks.

Why is there a waiting list for meds?

some places have a mandatory period you have to see someone before getting meds plus the place i go to has a lot of patients and they lose a few drs that prescribe meds. my insurance situation got messed up and i lost my insurance for a bit and had to stop going, so i had to get put back on the waiting list when i started going again. if you put yourself into a crisis center, you’ll automatically get bumped up the list and seen sooner.

i’d go somewhere else but it’s hard to find a therapist you really connect with. i could also get something from my primary care, but most primary cares don’t specialize in mental health thus not knowing what is best, esp because i’m bipolar, it makes things more complicated. most people with bipolar have to take a cocktail or drugs because the mania and depression, and because a lot of struggle with anxiety, as well. most anti-depressants contain stimulants and stimulants will send us spiraling into full blown psychosis and mania.

that’s the part people from the outside who say “get help, there’s always help”, don’t understand. that’s true. it’s easy to get help, though. what comes after if the most difficult part.

RIP

If you poppin percs or sippin lean I wish you a clean and safe recovery. Stop now before it's too late. This shyt is beyond recreational and it will kill you.

Idk the details of dude's death so I feel bad assuming it's opioid related but still.

Ya'll in denial pretending you're not hooked on heroin, get help cause it won't be easy. We gotta save these kids man it's out of hand.

Big Pharma needs to be held accountable. I'm in the sticks and they can't even keep up with the Narcan shots. Worse thing is it's cheaper to get a bag of that brown than a few percs so I've seen a lot of pill poppers turn into straight heroin shooters simply cause it was cheaper.

I remember being young thinking, "old head is out of touch, this shyt is no big deal" Naw this shyt is a big deal. You're not gonna casually sip lean like you're smoking weed everyday and be ok.

This is planned. It's no coincidence. Those percs and oxycotin all came out between the time of the first Iraq war to the second one. Then when the second one happened, in comes the influx of heroin. There's been a full blown opoid epdemic since 2003. The government knows what it's doing. They want folks to follow the trend. It's their sinister way of population control.

What's really sad about Fredo is that people don't understand the cerebral impact of being raised in systemically violent conditions. The drug use is a byproduct of untreated PTSD. This all comes back to convos we need to have surrounding mental health.
This. All of the drug and lean use was just him self medicating. That's what's making Fredo's death so sad to me, so many of these kids and young men need proper help, but don't have the means, know how, or guidance on how to seek it. Even when the help is there, sometimes it comes too late or means naught because these kids can't escape the environment that's causing these issues. Stating the obvious but the hood is a fukking trap for young black males; between poverty, violence, being aggressively targeted by police, drugs, lack of guidance, the odds are just stacked so high against them.

RIP Fredo.
