You'd have to be slipping to do that offer then predictably log into your paypal account to see if it's there. If it's legit,it's legit, they have your email and it'll show up. But don't log in, especially in that same browser window within at least a half an hour. People do 'lost password' and those types of scams that depend on you logging in within a certain amount of time, in addition to just straight scamming you out of it
