Team has begun interviewing GM candidates.

Our 2019-20 cap situation: Washington Wizards 2019-20 Salary Cap

Parker's $20M team option will no doubt be declined.

Mahinmi's $15M salary could be stretched over 3 years, freeing up another $10M this summer but perhaps the wise thing to do is ride this terrible deal out another year.

Howard has opted in.

Wall's salary jumps as his supermax kicks in.

Thomas Bryant is bounded by the Gilbert Arenas rule meaning since he was a 2nd round pick and has less than 3 years of experience, no team can offer him more than MLE in year 1 and a 4.5% raise of that in year 2. No brainer to re-sign or match an offer though the Center market has a lot of bodies this summer and I don't know if a poison pill deal that jacks up his salary in the 3rd year will be out there.

I think Satoransky will be retained as we have bird rights and RFA matching rights... and there's literally no other healthy PG on the roster.

Jeff Green wants to re-sign, I don't have a problem with him on the minimum.

Ariza's caphold is $18M.. he ain't getting nowhere near that for obvious reasons.

What does the roster need? Well, everything. Wiz lack a PF who can play defense and rebound. Wiz lack youth on the wings outside of Brown Jr. due to Ernie's dumbass.

I don't care if Portis or Parker are back... out of the two, Parker as a 6th man type is fine, I guess.

But there is hope! An innovative mind can field a competitive roster in the East with a top pick and a lot of room under the luxury tax.

A letter from co-owner Michael Gearon Jr. recommends that Ferry resign or be fired. Gearon cites Ferry telling the ownership group that Deng "has a little African in him."

His June 12 letter to co-owner Bruce Levenson said Ferry went on to say, "Not in a bad way, but he's like a guy who would have a nice store out front and sell you counterfeit stuff out of the back."

Added Gearon: "Ferry completed the racial slur by describing the player (and impliedly all persons of African descent) as a two-faced liar and cheat."

These guys are bandwagon fans, Ernie did a fantastic job. The players failed us, Gilbert had guns, blatch and McGee and swaggy p played too much due to lack of leadership, our current group of players have no leadership, we've never had a coach we could feel confident in. That's always been the problem :francis:

Ernie's job was to put teams together and he did, and free agents come here now which is something that didn't happen at all pre-grunsfeld (am I lying anyone :hula: anyone?) It's also not Ernie's fault Kevin Durant did not take a visit. He had us in positon to get him, KD felt the organization/culture wasn't right. The players don't know how to win and nobody teaching knows either.

Now hire Mark Jackson as HC and we'll be in business...

Isnt danny ferry the one with the racist comments while in atlanta? What's his track record. As for now im at no thanks for him

Hiring Danny Ferry is a typical Wizards management move - would rather go for the "safe" tenured person with an outdated philosophy that has been average their entire career opposed to giving a young person a chance...

Wizards have never been risk takers....I think its time Ted shakes that office up with fresh talent..

However - I would love if we fired Brooks and got Eddie Jordan back

Ferry's father, Bob, is the longest tenured executive in franchise history from 1973-1990. I'd hope Ted doesn't hire him just cause his dad assembled rosters that went to the NBA Finals multiple times and won in the 1970s but also assembled mediocrity in the 1980s.

Ujiri would be a good hire and that's why I don't expect it to happen.

FOH to Ferry although that would be some shyt the Wizards would do.

I'd be fine with Weaver though that might be bad since he and Brooks were close in OKC

Langdon is intriguing... what Marks and the Nets FO have done without any high picks is remarkable.

But who selected the players who failed us? :comeon:
