The XB1 is supposed to recognize your disc while it downloads the game to your HDD. The game dvd is the key based on their presentation today.

Can you imagine the chaos at gamestop if this works like that. Just grab random used games, download them to the HD and return the games the next day

I think the disc needs to stay in the drive for the game to work. The game won't spin but that will still be the authentication.
