But there are regulations on rent for low income housing, and those units are integrated into other luxury apt buildings and it works well.

so, what next? I mean, this topic is about drugs right?

She's near the point of flat out calling us liars about Seattle and San Francisco homeless/drug issues :wow:

I don’t think you even understand what the word echo chamber means. Ur entire basis for ur beliefs are built from your experiences and yours alone and nothing else :russ:

Comon man
So you are more qualified to talk about the impact of a laissez-faire drug policy than @itsyoung!! or I because you don’t live in these communities?

It all kind of ties together does it not? But ur right that’s a different conversation. I just can’t be convinced by anecdotal evidence, and I can see you’re not going to budge from your position no matter what information is put in front of you so we may as well stop even responding to each other imo

Re: The Discussion the last few pages I'll meet brehs half way in the middle and say on the west coast yall have a serious Homelessness problem that's an issue regardless of the legal status of drugs so this might not fix yall problem. But else where the problem is just folks using drugs our solutions would work :hubie:
We didn’t bring up homlessness, we brought up people doing drugs in the street and in front of businesses and in parks and parking garage. Idk these addicts housing situation nor did we bring it into the equation.

Hey you came in here without a shred of evidence to back up your claims on drug usage out in the bay and the policies used to combat it. That’s on you not even attempting to prove your point not the rest of us

what information have you supplied :laff: you are just arguing to argue because we have multiple cities where we have tried what the original post is about and they all failed tremendously

Did you read the thread at all? We’ve all talked about the effectiveness of decriminalization and citing places and studies. You’re not a very smart person….

You’ve also completely derailed what was a pretty good thread with absolute dogshyt

Vancouver been ahead of the drug war for years

one of the first places to have distributed needles and clean injection sites.

I don't particularly understand this move but to say you don't want to be in a city cuz of it while in America.... breh. Guns >>>>> drugs in terms of fukking up a livable city.

Vancouver for all it's junkies has always been at top of the list of world class cities.

If anything this should be a wake up call to dealers and the abundant use of fentanyl, they fukked up their own market so bad with overdoses that a city is willing to cut them out completely and supply cleaner drugs as a way to mitigate overdoses. End goal is still to get em off drugs but you also can't pretend people won't keep using while they taper off.

bullshyt

you a staunch conservative you have a problem with rental protections for tenants because you a landlord and now drug outreach programs. I mean the list goes on... :heh:
please tell me how you In Toronto will be paying for drugs provided by a non profit in B.C. this isn't a federal initiative just like injection site programs weren't

letting your BAD politics fukk up your optics and perception.
To the bold…The city I live in isn’t perfect, but I’m happy for the most part. I don’t understand the bold. I don’t want to live in a city that employs this tactic, and it’s ok for me to feel that way

@itsyoung!!

when ur ready to post the policies you claim Sam Francisco put in place that we’re similar to Portugal tag me and we can have an actual debate. Cause you just seem like a clueless troll who once again thinks their own experiences is somehow greater than things we see going on globally. It’s the typical dumb American stuff

So are you denying that San Francisco has places set up for people to "safely" use drugs, and that the cops are not allowed to arrest people for blatantly using drugs infront of people on the street ?

so what is this place ? This is a news article from just yesterday :skip:

Mothers protest 'open drug use' at SF Linkage Center, say safe space makes addiction worse

Heres a nice one from last month from the former mayor of San Francisco :skip:

Has SF hit rock bottom? Former mayor says city's 'humanitarian' ethic is to blame for recent issues

"
The former mayor is speaking about the impact of high visibility crimes, the ever-present homeless problem, and the drug-addicted or mentally ill people are having on a city once known for both its tolerance and beauty.

"When you walk in certain parts of the city, you can't even walk on the sidewalk without getting permission from the people who control the sidewalk. And they are the allegedly the homeless," Brown said."

This is from the former mayor :skip:

but you know more than a mayor of san francisco ? :skip:
