The Truth
Just because "Multiplication" comes before "Division", and "Addition" comes before "Subtraction" in the acronym, doesn't mean multiplication must always be done before Division, and that Addition must always be done before Subtraction.

Multiplication is on the same level as division, and addition is on the same level as subtraction, so if, as in this case, division comes before multiplication when going left to right, that is what you do first. The answer is 288.

brackets indices division multiplication addition subtraction
what y'all call PEDMAS we call BIDMAS in the UK

brackets
indices
division
multiplication
addition
subtraction

but yeah same thing....order of operations

48/2(9+3)

9+3 in the brackets first...equals 12
12 x 2 = 24

48/24 = 2
there are no indices and division comes before multiplication so why do you multiply the 2 with the 12 first for the record I got 288

I never thought I'd be doing Math on the Coli:damn:

everything to the right of the division operator represents one number. you have to solve that number before you can divide.

48÷2 (9+3)
Bracket first =9+3=12
=48÷2(12)
=48÷2=24
=24*12
=288

If u work right to left you'll get 2.

Its 288...you'll slow as hell

Y'all must have graduated most recently like me.. these nikkas getting 2 and laughing at 288 smh
