I ain't got much to say but I recently listened to a whole Oxford University lecture on this in regards to Friedrich Nietzsche's ideas of free will. Was super interesting the thing I picked up the most was that in regards to free will was that he believed people enjoy being cruel to others if it allows them to have power over them without any ramifications for doing so. I immediately thought of how this happens in the workplace with management
i think it depends on peoples natures
the old saying by Abraham Lincoln was "Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power,”
to me, people who try to deny free will are ultimately crippled by the idea that either:
1. they are not all-powerful
2. they believe if something is more powerful than them, then the game is rigged
but both of these conclusions are logical and spiritual fallacies built on the idea that power is something we inherently have. In the grand scheme of this amazing reality, there clearly are very low and very high levels of everything. Its safe to assume we are in feed back with all of it even if we dont realize it.
