after watching that interview the real rick ross does seem pretty sincere about changing to me.

Yep, which makes this whole William charade even more pathetic. It's like he can't get away from it because William is forcing him to re-live it every time he hears a song by him. Also William is causing the same harm that Ross is trying to amend by glorifying that negative potion of Ross' life.

To be honest it almost seems kind of eerie to have someone pretending to be you and there is nothing you can do about it. Why don't William just change his name to Rozay and call it a day? Can we get an online petition going on something? It would be hilarious but at the same time real. :ohhh: :scheme:

It's so many good points made in here I don't know which side to take....great interview...Real Rick Ross sounds sincere...but it's nothing he can do...it really is deeper than rap with fake Ross...that's why fake Ross can't and won't be checked by anyone...whether fake Ross is a certified street guy or or not is irrelevant...it's about the agenda that fake Ross is able to effectively push through his music to young impressionable minds who probably consume this type of music daily- and he does a very effective job making this type of music which is just as powerful at poisoning young minds as the product that the Real Rick Ross was pushing during his time...but you guys want to continue to be sheep so I won't go any further...I hope more of you wake up...daps to everybody...

Not to take this thread a different direction, but should we really care about Freeway Rick Ross' taking issue with his name being jacked? I say that because, wasn't this guy although not solely responsible, still largely a factor in the ruination of lives as a result of his flooding Los Angeles with crack? He should be satisfied with his life and freedom because truth be told his actions prior to incarceration didn't leave people in South Central the same privileges he currently has.

And all yall dope dealers, you as bad as the police, cuz ya kill us- Ice Cube-Us

No, that was the CIA.

I understand where he is coming from and points others have made but at this point he needs to just shut the fukk up. Him talking isn't changing anything, Rick Ross isn't changing his name, he has no lawsuit to fall back on, nothing. The only thing he has is the fact he can talk and people who already dislike Rick Ross will jump on board. Other than that, no one really cares.

I do find it ironic that a guy who made his name and TONS of cash off exploiting individuals and their short comings is upset that someone is exploiting his name for a profit. That is a lil dose of 'what goes around, comes around'

Totally off base comparison. R Kelly js a pedophile, Ross is a former CO rapper who borrowed his stage name from a well known drug dealer.

So being a pedo is on the same level as lying about your employment history now :upsetfavre:

The real Gs(not the internet thugs) ain't checking Ross like that. How come lil Timmy blogging from his parents house in Idaho has a problem with Ross' street cred but Big Meech doesn't?

:wtf:

Is this a serious question? Nobody gives a fukk if you're fake as long as you're popular. By your logic skate-boarding, rock guitar carrying, women's pants wearing Lil Wayne must be a real Blood because nobody is checking him for saying he's a Blood. You can be whatever the hell you want to be as long as you have money and/or are popular.

He's from 21st and Sigel street, south philly :jawalrus:

Its just kinda convenient that there was a big time gangster named Bugsy Sigel, dude who created Las Vegas, who Moe Greene was based off from the Godfather.

Adapting a well known gangstername like Capone or gotti aint the same as adapting that nukka's first and last name. 50 cent did it and came straight outta gate why he took the name; not actin like he got it high school playin ball. I phukks with Rozay but this is sum sshhiitt he easily could've settled from the start, just like that c.o. bullshyt:thumbsdown:

:beli:

stop.

dont quote me unless you gonna really address my points.

50 Cent borrowed his name from the biggest jackboy in NYC & made millions under that moniker. When Kevin Martin's family asked 50 to give him a tombstone so his grave could be marked, 50 was :rudy: Mind you, a tombstone only runs you $500-$1500.
