Word to French getting an "official studio sophomore" LP almost 5 years since his "official studio debut"' 
I fukk with French tho & think dude gets a rough time on here, especially when u look at the DVD work years ago (which doesn't get mentioned enough so maybe it's just a generational thing & younger cats don't know about it...) & mixtapes/music he put in BEFORE he was ridin' Puffs jock.
Only skimmed thru quick so far but "Too Much" & the intro track with Chinx (RIP) are

"Stop It (ft. TI)" and "Black Out" both wild Y'all sleepin on this album heavy. 
Just wish the mix/mastering on Jump and Push Up was better. And the autotune on "Hotel Bathroom" and "White Dress" verses, wished it sounded more like the "Trippin" track. That joint was

Bruh, you reading my mind over here. I agree, French's content has really been hurting lately. Its not even about being marketable or lack thereof, at times I wonder why he doesn't even bother TRYING to spit some bars. Doesn't have to be lyrical miracle shyt, just not garbage. His shyt was GOLD around 2010-2012. But things been going downhill since 2014.
He has some good projects like The Appetizer, and songs like Ball Drop and Super Flexing Remix where he really delivers, but other than that he been really lacking. I dont have a problem with them features, cuz he always had the hottest collabs. But why he letting them outshine him in every single song?? This wasn't the case before, dude used to hold his own and his hooks were golden.
MC4, Wave God's, and Casino Life 2 came out after, and were better. French simply has took many cooks in the kitchen on his albums in comparison to his tapes. Dude is 0/2 on albums, and what, like 17/20 on mixtapes??

Yall are trippin. Whiskey Eyes is fire. The track with Pharell is fire. Production is excellent. Im not really evaluating this album through the lens of French as a mixtape rapper, so I just take it for what it is. This LP will do numbers, probably get close to or over 100k sold first week.
