nah. true buzz is organic and genuine. manufactured buzz always comes back to bite you in the ass. chief keef is a good example. that nikka wasn't buzzing outside of chicago, but interscope acted like he was. predictably, we see keef's album brick, because he didn't have a true buzz.

ok, just to get this out of the way, i liked montana back in the day when he and max b had the mixtape game on lock. the beats on those tapes, thanks mostly to dame grease, were hot. he and max had a clear chemistry that was undeniably infectious. that's when he REALLY had buzz.
but now? the corny cross over bullshyt he puts out now? this nikka's "buzz" is non-existent. if montana couldn't get people talking about him after a single like pop that, which featured three of the biggest names in hip-hop, he HAS NO BUZZ. any nikka that really thinks the mumbling moroccan is about to blow needs to just

French has an audience who likes his music. Idk how big that audience is, but I've heard people say they like his music, so his buzz is real. He isn't the hottest artist in NY though. I think Vado at his peak was a more respected artist than French has been so far. Now that Vado is with Khaled he may tap into whatever audience French has left though. French isn't the worst ever, but I don't think a lot of people want to hear a full albums worth of material from him. They may download it, but to actually go out the first week to cop it in droves? I doubt it. It's a double-edged sword because not only do people not want to hear an album worth of solo material from French, but a feature heavy album won't selll much either. Khaled, Drama, Clue, Kay Slay, etc. have proven that. People buy into cohesive bodies of work (a la Kendrick) oppose to random songs with random artist placed on one disc.
