This shyt is the worst I can go on for days about short staff and no supplies to do said job. The worst is the actual people you take care of I'm not talking about mr doe who don't remember nothing I'm talking about your Uncle Joe who spits in a cup and pees on the floor and they're just here for a broken toe. I got stories for days

i used to be a cook at a nursing home. i liked it, but i couldnt stand my maga cac boss. shoulda cut his tires when i quit tbh

the majority of them were nice grandmas/grandpas but i got a few wild ones lol. some that liked to disrobe before breakfast

only thing i hated was the hours. had to be there at 4am to start food prep

Nursing homes are almost never adequately (aka realistically) staffed.

As a nurse (I was a cna years ago as well), thanks for all your help.

Everyday it tests your patience as a human being. And I'm not talking about people with dementia they can't help it I'm talking about your everyday elderly just here for rehab. I yelled at a dude cause he used facial Tissue to wipe his ass then stuck them on the side of the bed where the bed remote goes. I'm like bro why didn't you just call ??? I ain't even talk about family members busting your balls too

One night we had a resident pick up his phone( those big cord house phones)walk to his roommate and bash his head in the roomate is yelling "WHAT DID I DO???" Blood everywhere resident wasn't confused no UTI no nothing. nikka told us he knows what he did but when the cops came he played crazy. Side note the cops treat nursing home calls like they're dealing with kids so most of the time they want us to handle it.

I respect the fukk out of any kind of nurse it’s a wild ass job mentally and physically. They should be getting paid 2x whatever they are getting paid right now.

I work with 99% females and most of them being older alot of them are just miserable (cacs) I mean they will complain about stuff you didn't know you could complain about. Imagine before you go to work your girl bytching at you for whatever now you gotta go to work and hear multiple girls bytch at you (not about you).
