actually saw this twice

saw it earlier last week...then today. Saw it today cause yesterday my friend showed me Tim's show. I wasn't familiar with his work, then when her and I were watching I think you should leave, i was telling her dude looked familiar. And he's in this movie. She gets interested in seeing it, so we saw it today.

Jokes hit a littl harder second time knowing about tim's show.

Tim’s humor style ain’t for everyone but this shyt had me dying.

Him and Fielder got me pondering my own existence these past few weeks. The latter of who I’m curious to see what he has cookin’ up with A24.

The Subway trip :dead:

Mf didn’t even get his sandwich. :martin:

Glad the film had fun while it did because this was a pretty fukked up tale at its core, lol. The comedic moments soften the punches, but the bruises are there if one was to look closely.

It hit hard with the themes it tackled here, especially when it came to nailing down the anxiety and desire that comes with wanting to be accepted into a social circle. Oddly relatable, too. I’ve been there. In this film, it was as if ITYSL and Bojack Horseman had a baby.

On the other hand, dude is a clear cut narcissist. Felt like everyone he crossed paths with actually played nicely with bro, he just kept digging himself into deeper holes with the way he handled situations. I felt for him because he was lonely and on the outside looking in for a genuine connection, but that’s as far as I was willing to go with the sympathy.

All the Marvel shouts subconsciously had me sat during the credits, as if the flick was gonna hit me with a mid-credits scene.

Tim has some dikkriders that almost ruined the movie. Had a group of ppl laughing at literally every moment. Tim couldn’t move his head on the screen without one dikkhead in my showing laughing his ass off. It was insufferable.

Other than that, I enjoyed the movie. Some parts are way funnier than others. Not sure if it should’ve been a A24 theatrical release but I had fun

I wonder how many people go into this not knowing Tim Robinson :russ:

They saw Paul Rudd and think they're in for a completely different type of comedy, or seen the A24 logo and think something else

My first viewing was this. Had no idea of Tim's comedy.

....saw this today and right after the "bar of soap" scene this couple got up and walked out and never came back . .. . talkin bout "this is the most pointless movie ever made" . . .. but as for the very final act .. . .

.... i thought for a minute that when he woke up after the Subway scene - that he was still in the trip and that everything that followed sort of aligned with what T-Boy told him about what he would experience . .. but then i read an interview with the director and Subway was the only thing Craig experienced off that venom . .
