We all agree that the biggest listeners of hiphop is black.

We all agree that Ems popularity and success was inflated by the white fanbase that like His music but not necessarily rap

We all agree that anyone that identified themselves a hiphop fan or part of the culture knew Ems music heard a his verses, etc

With Mackelmore you get none of that. How can you be a prominent figure in rap the last 2 years and the majority of hiphop listeners do not even have a clue about your music?

If no one in hiphop listens to you or even know who you are and you become a huge star how can you be hiphop?
