Everyone knows this already...he exists in that same space in hip hop as prime Black Eyed Peas did..

But the BEP were never considered rap and never rewarded for being rappers

This shyt like Beyonce calling her last album country music and she wins awards for best country album and song and is featured on country magazines

Even though not 1 country fan knows anything about her music but the music was a huge success

Maybe not from within the rap world (like Macklemore)...but their list of accolades and awards for being "best rap/hip hop group" is extensive

I don't care about influence, importance or who gets played on urban radio...etc

I'm strictly basing this on "being Hip Hop"... And I'm sticking with my point, if Mackelmoore can't be hip hop then I don't see how Drake is.... Truthfully this genre is lost and ass backwards... Bow!!!

How is this any different than the civil war that erupts when posters who prefer one era of hip hop start shytting on another era of hip hop and saying it's not "real hip hop" and other posters get aggy and say it is real hip hop or question who determines what is real hip hop? how can u not care about influence but then talk about who is a prominent figure in hip hop culture..

Macklemore is not Drake
