From an biological standpoint why do facial features matter to people?

People often learn what beauty is. The same as we learn what is acceptable to eat in terms is which animals. These things both vary by location.

If I told you to eat a cat or wife a girl with a giraffe neck because she had things put around her neck to make it longer since birth. You prob wouldn’t find either appealing. Someone does.

So I think culture influences/defines what we find appealing and the standard.

How does it benefit us. Technically it doesn’t in the sense you ask but humans are emotional so the happiness aspect does count.

It signals high levels of estrogen, which in turn indicates fertility, and thus, better chance to bear and conceive healthy children. :ehh:

people are nicer and usually will go out of their way to make u happy
