Brah, impact in terms of what? Setting the narrative of Atl sports that they can never get over the hill and win ships? I like nIque but that shyt pretty much started wit him.

How did it start with him? Nique was a bona fide superstar arguably a top 50 player all time, he lifted the Hawks from being a sub .500, punch line to being considered one of the East's best teams in the 80s. Yea they didn't win it all, but he raised standards in the city when the Falcons & Braves both sucked for years. Nique WAS Atlanta sports and he singlehandedly made the Hawks the hottest ticket in Atlanta for a decade until the Braves got hot. What's Joe Johnson's impact? He had none. He was a good player, quiet yet effective but there was no huge impact from him. Again, Joe was a good player, made several All Star teams, played on some good Hawks teams, but this comparison is insulting
