Jessie Vargas: I Hope For The Best Broner, I'll Do Anything To Win

Jessie Vargas did not hesitate for a moment to take the fight with Adrien Broner on April 21 - because he knows that with a victory over the former world champion, his name may appear on top for opponents such as Keith Thurman, Errol Spence, Shawn Porter and Danny Garcia, although that does not mean he will expect an easy fight against 'The Problem.'
Vargas does not believe Broner is finished and there will not be any mistake of underestimating him when they collide in the main event of a Showtime televised tripleheader from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
"No doubt I am motivated to face Broner. For me the next fight is always the most important, and I'm preparing hard because I know that in a fight anything can happen. The camp is excellent, we are doing a great job with the team and I am sure they will see the best Jessie Vargas so far," said Vargas to ESPN Deportes.
Broner, after suffering a lopsided decision loss to Mikey Garcia last July at the same venue, has his back against the wall and needs a victory.
"I feel that I'm at the best moment of my career, I can not say how Broner is living - but I hope for the best Broner. I know he changed his coach. I feel that I am better and that on April 21 I have to prove it. If I need to fight, I will do it, if I have to box, I will do it, if I have to counter I will do what is necessary to win and the people will leave happy," Vargas said.
Vargas said that this victory will be vital because winning will open opportunities with the best.
"I think it can be a parameter, the welterweight division is packed. I am one of the best and after that [fight with Broner], I will fight whoever they present," said Vargas, who must weigh at a catch-weight of 144 pounds for this fight.

It seems as if Broner has reached "gatekeeper" status. He needs to let his hands go and win this fight, I hope Kevin Cunningham can help, Mike Stafford is a good trainer, but it seems like he simply became a "yes man".
