From everything I read and watched, Japan might have the best society

I visited Japan multiple times for work and never had a issue with racism. When the locals saw me they just wanted to test their English on me.

Ironically the only time I experienced it all was when my Korean co-worker almost got in a fight with a local in Tokyo while taking a smoke. The Japanese guy only picked a fight with him because he was Korean. I had to drag him away. The other time was when we tried to experience some authentic Japanese cuisine in the not tourist parts of Tokyo and we were not allowed in the restaurants and I know it wasn't because of me. It was because of my Korean and Vietnamese co-workers
In regards to living over there, my friends and co-workers who actually lived in country had US jobs so they were straight. They lived like Kings. All of them had nice apartments, some penthouses and others had nice houses in the country.

I had no issues moving around Tokyo, Nagasaki, Kyoto, Sasabo, Fukuoka, Osaka, etc. All the major signs were in English.

Japan has the best food in the world and I'm not talking just Japanese food. I had the best Italian, Indian and Chinese food in Japan.

Its true that you rarely see any trash on the streets and I've never seen a cop walk the beat or a cop cars flying through traffic.

Its true that the men and women under 30 don't interact with each other normally. Its pretty surreal when you walk around and never see young couples out. Its usually packs of boys or packs of girls. Although Japan does have a problem with harassment on the subway so much they have women only subway cars painted pink.

I actually work with Japanese people and they are one of the coolest people I met. I've also worked with Chinese people and they were horrible. Japan is the least racist Asian country while South Korea & China are the most racist.

No racism.
While you may not experience the racism you'd experience in China (who are infamously racist towards Black people) you could study Japanese for 10 years and speak it fluently, they will NEVER consider you a member of their society/part of their club or anything. I heard stories there that they have parties where they don't let anybody in, unless you are Japanese. People were chill. But some people also look as Black people as a curiosity and want to take photos (I did not experience this, but heard this from Black people going there).

I was staying in Shinjuku. There was a street with bars and hotels. I didn't really get it, because they seemed to be "romantic hotels" as far as how the logos were made, the lighting etc. In front of the bars as bouncers you had big fukking Japanese dudes in suits. Later, a friend of mine's friend told me a story how he and his fiance at the time and their friends went to Tokyo (his fiance wanted to get married in Japan). Long story short, the guy and one of his friends end up in a bar in Shinjuku ... They get free drinks and are said there are more free drinks upstairs. They get upstairs and someone tells them they can pick from any girl they see there. They are like "oh no no I'm getting married etc." Then the thugs show up and told them to go pay their bill then. The bill was like US $2,500. Yeah. And the thugs made it clear: if they don't pay that, they will beat the shyt out of them. They ended up paying using their credit cards and getting the fukk out of there. Had they fukked one of the prostitutes it would've been the same...
