They explained the cicadas, that was someone's nightmare/fear. Just like dreams being able to kill you was someone's fear.

They need to explain the nightmare/fear shyt more though and how that works. shyt I guess the crops failing can be explained by that too, someone had a nightmare the soil went bad and they wouldnt be able to grow crops.

I guess that might be a part of the show, purposely done, but if theyre going to do all that goofy shyt then they need to just drop full seasons. This waiting every week for an answer to something is a little annoying after 3 seasons

There are two different things going on. Fears and dreams. The town/monsters are using your fears to kill other ppl in the town.
I think they are only specific to them if it's dream stuff(Im not counting Jade and Tabitha's visions in dream stuff)
Someone had a fear of dreams killing you/dying in your sleep. So from my pov only the person who dreams it, sees the monster or w/e. So only Elgin can see the water/dead chick.

Cicadas - isnt a dream thing, it's a fear thing and everyone sees them. Someone had a fear of there being maneating cicadas, so they were manifested. Boyd saw them on smiley's body(when they did the autopsy) and he wasnt dreaming. The thing with the cicadas is they can vanish. When Boyd went back to the body, they all were gone. When the monsters caught randall at the ambulance, didnt they use cicadas to stop him and then they vanished when the monsters surrounded randall?

So the rotting crop/bad soil stuff is probably a fear thing(and not a nightmare thing like I posted above), since everyone is affected by it and is messing with real world stuff.

I haven’t watched yet but breh posted spoilers for the remaining episodes in this thread. I said episodes 7 seemed meh, episode 8 seemed a little interesting, and episodes 9 & 10 seem better but in the end I believe most people will be disappointed. I still want to see 9 & 10 though. They may be more interesting to see play out on screen. Than how the spoiler person had written the spoilers.
