Her dad died right before she joined the WWF and her 17 year niece who she was close with died in a car crash while she was still with WWF. Other than that she came from a normal strict upbringing. Wrestling made her this way like it does many folks who choose it as a career.

She probably became the stereotypical “grew up strict; now going all out” type, with those aforementioned deaths playing a part in her getting into drugs and alcohol to help cope.

That being said, there could be an assault or rape in her youth that she may one day confirm

She said she came from a strict household but not abusive. She was one of those late births in a family with kids already in their late teens early 20's. She lost her 17 year old niece who she was close with in a car accident when she just started in the WWF and I think her died died just before that. I don't believe anything she says so if she ever came out with a story like that I would take it with a grain of salt. Not all crazy substance abusers were victims as children.
