I'm pretty sure that was the case, yeah.

Caught on late because of True Detective and Halt and Catch Fire but I enjoyed it the first four episodes and it kinda lost steam near the end. It felt like the writers weren't sure if it would last more than one season instead of having a cliffhanger ending.

The family isn't really needed for the second season except maybe to call up Mattie on some Oracle in Batman steeze for assistance.
