Lucky MF. Going to a game 7 is on my bucket list.
Crazy thing is, the tickets weren't even that expensive. I bought two tickets the night before game seven for about $115-120 each. A game seven against the Canadiens for $120?! I had to pull the trigger. I was in the 300's, but I actually prefer to be higher up behind the net during an NHL game than down in the lower sections. Much easier to see all of the play.
I also bought a ticket to game six of the Stanley Cup Finals, but that cost me about $1,600. The series was 2-2 with game five being in Vancouver, game six in Boston, and a possible game seven in Vancouver. I had to make the decision to buy it either before game five or after. If the Bruins had won game five, they would have been able to win the Stanley Cup on home ice in game six, and the ticket prices would have easily been $3,000+ for the game tickets from what I was seeing at the time. First Stanley Cup in 40 years on home ice, and the price would have been absurd. So, I took my chances and bought it before game five. The Bruins lost game five and the prices for that section went down closer to $300-500. Sucks, but I was comfortable taking that chance. I wasn't trying to pay $3,000+ for a ticket.
Trying to have no bias, but this had to be one of the best series we've ever seen. The Canucks were absolutely HATED that year, and the Bruins became a hated team after that. Lots of pests and agitators on both teams.
