If they lose off a bye to Charleston Southern next Saturday I don't see how you can bring Norvell back. That would be a true humiliation

If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
The biggest issue with this team outside of the players not caring, poor HS recruiting, lackluster recruiters in general, portal misses, etc. is that Norvell’s offense has trash ass passing concepts. We have no plays in our offense that we KNOW we’re going to pick up 3/4 yards: no intermediate routes, no plays that build upon one another to set up a big play. It’s just random ass plays and deep balls, so even moving the ball methodically is incredibly difficult when you don’t have a reliable running game. There’s no scheming a guy open going on, like, at all.

We need a way more diverse offense that doesn’t plod along, but also has definitive, “let’s matriculate the ball down the field,” plays built into the base-offense.

I do not see that in Marion’s offense. In fact, it’s very similar to what we do now in attempting to force/hit big plays down field without really setting them shyts up.

The more I think about Norvell the madder I get. I don’t know what the fukk dude be thinking.

I agree! I’m saying, I think you’re looking at this wrong. Norvell just needs more time to figure it out, let’s be patient with him :manny:

Watching Verse just reminds me how much they cheated us out of a chance to play for the chip. That defense was special:francis:

Y’all wasn’t doing shyt without Travis Jordan :heh:
Man, our defense was playing generationally well. Verse and Fiske were unblockable at that stage in the season. People act like Jordan Travis is the greatest QB of all times and shyt. We deserved to have a shot, but politics as usual. Repeatedly, the playoffs have shown that you can’t “select” your way into great matchups.

When you have guys like Fiske, Verse, Keon, Renardo Green, Jones, Bethune who are actually playing well or showing potential in the NFL then of course you have a chance. They deserved a chance that defense has rookies killing it in the NFL every week. Recently someone on 247 spoke to Jim Grobe who was on the committee he said he didn't realize how many good players were on the defense until he saw them in the NFL and that they probably deserved to be in:francis:

edit: I'm not high on Norvell, but them games without Travis were the best games he's ever coached at FSU. Elite coaching from him. Beating that Louisville team was not easy
