Nobody really knows how to book a will they or won’t they angle anymore. The payoff ends up being stretched out so unnaturally that everyone ends up coming across as bipolar and the whole thing stalls out.

I thought they established that FTR is occasionally helping the Young Bucks to keep them in good condition for when the time is right for the match (so, stalling until they can get a real crowd). Besides, they're also part of the Hangman/Omega story. They'll probably win the belts off them, and then run it with the Young Bucks trying to stand up for their friends.
