I got into a back and forth with somebody about that topic recently. Mfs swear keeping one loaded in the chamber is gonna make a life or death difference in an altercation or shootout.

It takes a half second (.5) to load one. If somebody already caught you lacking, that half second won't save your life foh

But some pistol have a hair trigger and with one already loaded in the chamber, all its gonna take is one clumsy moment handling it or like in this video a "goofy" moment and that's it, goodbye.

I'ma be honest... I used to think like this. Then you look at most videos where the person being assaulted pulls on the assailant and there is no second in that moment. You either squeeze or don't make it home. That said, I do understand why someone wouldn't want to have 1 in the hole.
