c++ is very meticulous, all languages are not the same but learning one and really getting it makes learning new ones so much easier

soldier through, if you have a good professor go see him and tell him your really struggling. he might give you more specific information on whats going to be on the final

Haskell and Go >

Go I think is heir to the throne, and 2.0 is about to rearrange the industry. Haskell because it's interesting and more about personal satisfaction.

First look I got at programming though was C++, shyt was rough. But it probably would have been rough with any language tbh. Stepping into any functional or imperative language is pretty easy to me now.

Stick with it though - that software engineering salary is life changing.

Think of things you want to build and start putting together a portfolio. But also keep in mind you'll be reading more code than writing. The codebases we work with are over ~ 1 million lines of lines, each.

Always helps to have a great IDE though that can catch those errors and do some type checking.

Took a final In my programming class this morning waiting on the grade . Our Computer science department teaches Java tho and it hasn't been that bad so far. About to spend all Winter Break on videos to hopefully be ahead of the second semester class and then This summer I want to learn C++

I know absolutely nothing about coding but this shyt reads like conditional logic in an excel formula?
