I was consulting for like 3 months the worse shyt ever. Save receipts, late payments on reimbursement, no bytches unless your familiar with the city. And really there's no time to relax

Idgaf about the money if every contract or myself can be terminated. FOH.

What important is me making over 70k with piece of mind, meeting regular people not a whole bunch of fukking strangers everyday.

Man everything you said is spot on. My hotel is nice af but whats the point with no bytches. Dont even have time to look around

Yo consulting is straight up for suckers. People get lured in by the nice check, but im telling you guys this shyt is fukking horrible. Just started in January and I want to jump off a fukking building . Just a word to the wise, dont be fooled . Money aint worth the freedom

If you're passionate about what you do the hours and energy should not make a difference. You have already acknowledged that the passion for the job isnt there. Why shame yourself for this? What obligation do you have to anyone or any company to the point you're jeapordizing your health and peace of mind. Your life is too short and important to be working long hours for something you are not passionate about.

The "elite" consulting firms McKinsey, Bain, Boston Consulting Group. Highly desired employers.

Big 4 consulting nothing to snuff at either though, it's not easy to get in so salute to you.

They have a consulting subreddit (r/consulting) where you could go and discuss with others who are also in the field. Careful though the shyt puts out a real Vibe and "talk down to others" attitude. They do seem to have good advice there though about the stresses of the job.


I feel you about not flirting at work, that #metoo shyt can go left at anytime. Best not to test the waters.

Just put a few years in and exit out to whatever you want afterwards.

Stack chips, listen to the right people, peep game then open your own business within 5 years. Lotta consultants say they're unfulfilled, mostly because they're overspending and working just to work instead of using consultancy as an opportunity to learn and network.

Living with my parents. Saving 70% of my checks. Bad thing is I just spent 1200 to get my car fixed a month ago, same car just got totaled on Saturday (I was not at fault). Plus I gotta help pay for a new car for my sister who also got in a wreck 2 weeks ago. So that' gonna take a fat chunk out of my savings
