Its not about whose actually BUYING shyt, its about influence and making certain shyt (criminal/destructive behaviour) seem "cool". It also tells young urban kids that the keys to success (cars, houses, jewelry, women) is NOT intelligence and education, but instead criminal/destructive actions:
