I swear to you Shaft was such a breath of fresh air. It kept it real about women and gays...both who have been skyrocketed to super hero status.

The last few movies I’ve seen included Dark Phoenix and Toy Story 4. Both had girl power horse shyt. X women? fukk you J Law. Little Bo fukking Peep? Buzz Lightyear a boneheaded idiot?

I’m sick off these films. I’m tired of this women are badass, in control, logical narrative being pushed. It’s exhausting.

To me it like look like all there doing now days is replacing the white male focus/white guy power fantasy narrative with the white women focus/white girl power fantasy narrative honestly I dont really see it has that great of change the tropes you see in one you see an the other one but more in your face depending on the writing of both.
