The most heart felt and beautiful songs come from acknowledging the importance of true love...

And when you have a genre such as rap music replacing R&B....a genre that goes against everything love stands for...this is what happens...

You basically have to listen to pop records to listen to really beautiful music now..such as ed sheeran "thinking out loud"...

If yall wanna be real about it New Jack Swing was the beginning of the end even tho we have great R&B from that era and all thru the 90s. But that kinda started it imo
Yeah there was some great NJS, then there was some that was :trash:. Then you had well respected artists from the 60s-80s that jumped on the wave, but looked :flabbynsick: trying to pull it off.

I remember hearing songs like this on TV in the background as I was getting dressed for school:

Music that sounds like this doesn't get mainstream recognition anymore and that's why everything sounds the same now. Aspiring artists sees this hybrid singing/rap over trap beats getting all the attention and that's what they copy.

You old heads pointing fingers at artists who make dope songs.

Its more of the fact all kids wanna do now is be hardcore thug rappers. None of the rnb artist out now aren't even wack. They have dope songs and strong fan bases. Its more of the fact that there are literally only 5 rnb artists out atm. And you can't be mad at rnb artists who want to progress in music especially if its good, besides that Chris brown rapping shyt

This new era of kids just trying to listen to music that they get fukked up too. Once the kids find rnb popular again the shyt will come back.
