I mean I'm sure this ain't too far fetched but this needs more context. Amazon has a lot of part time workers. Are they being included in the study? What about the seasonal temps and those dudes who deliver packages?

thats what an average is..
IT Managers shouldn't make much more than a forklift driver I guess. :russ:

Yup..they are pretty much making much more than a customer service rep

This is capitalism, and our "values", just that Amazon is on a bigger scale, the structure isn't that much different than every business operating in the country. Certainly every corporation.

Once I read about the warehouses and seasonal workers, the sickening exploitation....I'd rather order (books) from my sister's store, independently owned store in Oakland.

Funny thing is I used to order books from Amazon when I was a kid, like in 99, I still don't have an account, and I doubt I will.

The really repulsive, but everyday tragedy is how that labor feeds these people who order everything on Amazon, from batteries to baby food, it comes at an extremely high cost. It's really pretty heartbreaking when you realize there is a class that orders from Amazon, and one that works for Amazon. And that is true, and becoming more true across every industry, esp. lyft, grubhub and so on.
