He the richest man in the world. His salary could be $0 dollars a year and he'd still be the richest man in the world lol.
I'm not disputing that, just that the number is so low. All the company paid for perks get dumped into the Total Comp figure, I just assumed it would amount to more than that.

Looked up the proxy and $1.6M of his pay is for personal and home security services. :ohhh::russ:

4 stocks?

Here is the break down (this is in response to why would anyone ever work at amazon)

If you saying it's no way some one gets $400k worth of stock that vest over 4 yrs....iono, doesn't sound crazy to me considering that amazon base compensation is so much lower than most other big tech companies. And this was on a site where several amazon employees work, and nobody called bullshyt :yeshrug:

I wonder what the retention rate is for majority of employees there. I assume they burn out after 2 years, forfeiting those shares when they leave.

My boy just started there as a finance mgr and is already thinking of his 2 year exit plan

Ignore the fact that almost third of businesses fail within the first 5 years brehs :mjlol:

Hate yall be your own boss ass nikkas, it’s sad but not everyone can be a boss :yeshrug:
Most these dudes living in dreamland. Not to mention a lot of people own businesses...but a lot of businesses aren't paying the bills in full.
Folks run small businesses and still have to punch clocks. The entire "Be your own boss" contingent is full of shyt. If 100 people on the coli went all in on a business,
probably half of them would be bankrupt within 2 years. Not just having a business fail, but complete bankruptcy. Its really irritating folks ignore the stakes just to talk
shyt about clock punchers.

Lol this is actually impressive that you can shyt on a a successful entrepreneur like Bezos while promoting entrepreneurship at the same time. You should pick a side

Well I'm trying to get blacks to start their own businesses and keep themselves afloat by practicing group economics
:manny:

No reason a nikka should wake up and go to Becky at Starbucks for coffee, Muhammad at the corner store for gum, then go do his laundry at Gonzales cleaners. Then go polish off some general tsu chicken for dinner at ming Lee Chinese restaurant.

Meanwhile he got work at Amazon warehouse in the morning and his brother don't got a job

I never said software engineers weren't getting that much, I really don't know how much they get.

I can only speak on what entry level positions, supervisors, and managers get.

4 stocks for a tier 1(entry position)

6 stocks for a tier 3( supervisors)

15 stocks for a tier 4 (managers)

The more successful a business is, the harder one of these two are getting screwed over.

Not everyone is a shark.... there is always someone that could use that 28k a year. Thats why the market economy is the best we have.

Well if 100 coli nikkas started business and half of them failed at the end of the day that's 50 new successful black businesses.

Sounds like a W to me...

That's mostly the case for the fulfillment workers. The really competitive positions ($100k+) are seeing over 100 RSUs, and they receive more for every year they stay employed.
I'm only speaking for fulfillment workers. I have no idea about corporate side of things

:francis:Settle for mediocrity just to enjoy the title "CEO" brehs.

A "successful" business isn't always one that can sustain you. Like I said before, after the majority fail, the few successes still would not be providing "fukk you" money.

Folks will still punch the clock. Thats assuming they are in the black, as well. And depending on said business, they won't be in a position to hire anyone.

It will be a hobby rather than a business.

Like I said , according to your statistics,if 3 coli dudes start businesses and only one of them make it,being that third who does, that's still a win

You know you can work a regular job to sustain yourself while you work on a business plan right?

You ever watch shark tank? Plenty of the contestants have 9 to 5's aside from wether their business is profiting or not

Thats actually the point I made. Most people will STILL be punching the clock. Now if you call it a successful business just because they have not given up yet, thats cool.
I consider businesses with a future that can sustain you a success. Ask people who have had businesses fail (I've had two fail) if they believed their business had a future.

I'm not saying any of this to dissuade someone from owning a business, just saying that most people will lose in doing so. What you will gain is insight. That may come
at the cost of your financial wellbeing, however.
