or maybe he grew up and realised if he can make his own movies, his own way, employ as many black people as he can, break down barriers for rappers, let alone black stereotypes in movies. he was in his early to mid 20's when he made DC and songs like Tear This Muthafukka Up, but all along he has made comedic songs like Once Upon A Time In The Projects, A Gangsta's Fairytale, Givin' Up The Nappy Dugout, street shyt like What They Hittin Foe, Ghetto Bird, fictional stories like Alive On Arrival, Ghetto Vet, Lil Ass Gee.
point is, he has always come at it from every angle whether it's comedy, street, gangsta, militant, anti govt, so it's no surprise to me that he would make a movie like Are We There Yet, after making Friday (a comedy) and the fact that he's in his 40s & has kids, why shouldn't he make something his kids can enjoy
