I recall Sharpton defending Snoop in times past. Recently when he dropped that gospel album, and then black preachers jumped snoop.

That diatribe Sharpton went on in front of those white people, on MSNBC, was very unneccessary though.. He could've did that privately or on his radio show..

Just sayin....he made certain to distance Snoop from being made the reason for what Gayle is going through.....all I’m sayin :yeshrug:
He did that... but just the visual I got seeing this white dude on network TV going after Snoop and calling on his bosses to take money out his pocket because he stood up for his late friend and his family while he transitioned right to black folks to back him up was disgusting :snoop:

He said “this isn’t about Snoop, actually I like and have supported Snoop, this is about media organizations and publications not stepping up to the plate to protect Gayle King”.......or something close to this

If that's what he said, then that's the correct answer.

This is a classic case of trying to pivot from the original issue, have the media outlet absolved of any guilt, and then somehow make someone or something black the real problem.

The real question is why CBS thought that the interview should go in that direction (because no televised interview is done without producers getting involved), and then lead with those clips as promo. Gayle King is a separate problem.

But Al would basically be saying "Let's not get distracted here, CBS needs to get out there and defend their employee"
