On yeah, they have their problems. Bad fuel economy, oil burning, and heat issues. That's why it would be a project car.
They still have a ridiculous power to weight ratio, smooth revving, and are fun as hell to push to the extremes.

That's your major, major problem right there. Miatas, good Miatas, hold onto value for the most point. You went the dirt cheap route, spent $2k thinking you'll get a reliable sporty car.

Yeah the decent ones go for $10k. I also did work on this car, the previous owner must not have done any maintenance whatsoever shyt was nasty before I did a few lil small jobs on it
