Honestly usps isnt as bad as people claim they do some amazing shyt for relatively low prices all three have there faults imo.
real talk, I used to use USPS all the time for smaller shipping items, but I will say I did see the discrepancy when items get past a certain dimensions and pounds, other then that they are very good at shipping smaller items. First class and priority from California to NY would take 3-4 days, pretty fast if you ask me.

I was tracking a package online not to long ago. I paid the money for expidited shipping. It said the package was out for delivery..i check again after an hour waiting on my package, and there is a message that says "weather conditions prevented delivery". I was like WTF I live in Oakland, and it was sunny as fukk. So I called customer service and they said it might not necessarily be the weather. So I ask what could it possibly be if not the weather. She said sometimes if there is a possible hazard, they won't deliver. I looked outside and a small sprinkler was on. It didn't even reach anywhere near the path to my house. fukk THAT bytch ASS DELIVERY MAN.

expedited means the following:
make (an action or process) happen sooner or be accomplished more quickly.
"he promised to expedite economic reforms"

sohh, what is the opposite of expedited shipping? would that option be better?

i don't understand the English language sometimes.

do you prefer to have your shipments sent by drones?

also, you never told us what you were doing inside your home when the USPS man showed up. were you playing the @PS4 :mjlol:?
Why at me?

The opposite of expedite is "free" ground shipping which is not trying to get from point A to point B as fast as possible. Not hard to understand :dwillhuh: don't over think it bruh.

As for this thread, where I live in D.C.. This is how it goes 9x out of 10. I'm sitting by the door, it'll either just get left or they leave a note. Never the knock which is :mindblown:

In Va, not nearly as often but the last time it did happen? They dropped my Xbox one at the steps, didn't knock. I'm tracking the joint, they marked it as delivered 2hrs before they finally did drop it. But like I said, never knocked. Tried to set me up for the come down shuffle

It's Amazing how the government allowed the post office to get destroyed by the leadership from within & did absolutely nothing about it .

USPS is the worst when it comes to package deliveries, their tracking system is pretty much useless, and it's hard to pinpoint who's going to deliver your package. Is it gonna be your normal postman or a postal worker from another location?

Anytime I order from Amazon, Walmart, Nike, etc, I always pray 📿 that they don't choose USPS as the shipper because I always gotta take the day off from work and get up early sitting at the window all day just to see when the van pulls up. After all, if nobody's home, unlike UPS, FedEx, or Amazon's delivery drivers, USPS won't leave your package, and it becomes a hassle traveling to the post office, although luckily for me, I only live down the street from the location, or worse if they try to deliver the next day, which adds more inconvenience.

New 8% fuel surcharge
How much can we keep spending

The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) has proposed a temporary 8% fuel surcharge on package deliveries to offset rising transportation costs, with the Associated Press reporting that the average price of a gallon of gas has risen to $3.94, a dollar more than a month ago. If approved by the Postal Regulatory Commission, this surcharge will take effect on April 26, 2026, and remain in place until January 17, 2027, affecting Priority Mail Express, Priority Mail, USPS Ground Advantage, and Parcel Select services.

  • Scope: The fee applies only to package services and will not impact traditional letter mail or First-Class stamps.
  • Rationale: USPS cited surging diesel prices, which hit $5.38 per gallon (a 51% year-over-year increase), as the primary driver for the change.
  • Context: This marks the first time the USPS has levied a fuel-specific fee, a move intended to align with industry practices seen in competitors like FedEx and UPS while the agency faces potential cash shortages by early 2027.
